Description:
The penultimate visit of the AfRIS project took one of the team up to Cauldeen Primary School in Inverness. The trip involved a 5 hour drive along famous Lochs and Glens. The programme represented a significant change from the usual, and saw a series of age-related variations on our Solar System workshop, starting with 3 and 4 year old nursery children (3 x 20 minute talks), and working all the way up to P7, who undertook the full workshop, involving making a scale model of the Solar System using play-doh and till roll. In total, Chris saw a total of 172 pupils during 7 sessions of varying length. It was then time to pack up and undertake the 5 hour journey home. A long drive, but lovely in the fresh air and darkness.
