The AfRIS team will be carrying a mobile resource kit, which contains a variety of demonstration equipment to help bring our workshops to life. Which equipment we use very much depends on which workshop modules schools have selected for their visit. Upon arrival within your community, we would need open access to the school for around 30 minutes before the first workshop module starts, and it would help if we could park close to the school entrance. Whilst the team would be on hand throughout the day, it would be useful if we could have a safe place to store equipment needed for later modules and activities.
The following is a list of the equipment contained within our resource kit:
- Celestron SkyProdigy 6 SCT Telescope
- Spectroscopy Kit
- Optical Ray Diagram Kit
- Solar Radiometer
- Night Vision Scope/Goggles for viewing faint auroral dispolays.
- Sturdy set of planet models.
- Laptop & Software
